Advanced Scuba Rescue Diver Techniques Course

NAUI Recreational Training

The course objectives of the Advanced Scuba Diver Techniques Course are to provide future NAUI leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to:

1. Prevent Diving accidents.
2. Recognize life threatening diving situations.
3. Correctly initiate and/or supervise rescue/assist procedures.
4. Effectively perform in-water rescue/assist techniques and procedures, at depth and at the surface including rescue exits involving a single assistant and multiple assistants.
5. Correctly manage rescue assistants during and after rescues.
6. Provide immediate and effective postrescue aid.
7. Correctly manage a diving emergency.
8. Adjust for local variants.
